Amendment to the Major Motion Picture Agreement

In 2019, Branch Negotiators were part of a Union wide discussion to iron out a few inconsistencies, imprecise drafting and ‘grey areas’ of the MMP.

The Pandemic postponed the implementation, but BECTU has recently persuaded PACT to revisit these issues and have now incorporated most of the suggestions put forward in an amended agreement for use from 5th April 2021.

The amended agreement now highlights:

Please note, these changes do not represent a complete renegotiation of the agreement, but are another positive step towards continually improving the terms and conditions for members who work on Major Motion Pictures.

It is recognised that there are still issues, which will need member consultation, to highlight points in the agreement that need strengthening or improved.
